Our purpose is to maximise the benefits from UAV technologies and develop a world-class UAV industry in New Zealand.
Our Key Goals are:
The industry came together to achieve a cohesive and informed response to the proposed interim CAA regulation changes in December 2013. To keep the ball rolling following that joint submission to the CAA, a UAVNZ start-up group was created. This group was based on expressions of interest and an effort to cover a range of industry sectors. The aim was to solidify the organisation and define some short to mid-term objectives to support and grow New Zealand’s UAV industry.
UAVNZ includes: operators, manufacturers, researchers, Airways, Callaghan Innovation, and customers. Basically anyone focussed on UAV industry growth.
The executive committee is:
Chairman: Andy Grant - ASG Holdings Ltd
Committee: Linda Bulk – Aeronavics, Bruce Clarke - Incredible Images, Richard Milner - HFT 2016 Ltd, John Forrest - Open2view.com
The committee meets on the 1st Thursday of each month to measure progress against the goals.
