Conference and Event Organiser 

The appointment is a full-time fixed-term position and will commence in December 2017 and finish in July 2018 after the Leadership Conference.
Location is in Wellington.

Your responsibilities include

  • Organisation of the 2018 Aviation Leadership Conference

    • Coordinate relationships with venues to ensure no surprises

    • Coordinate pricing and revenue model to ensure efficient budgeting and financial management

    • Introduce and coordinate services for participants

    • Assist with programme development and execution to ensure efficient running

  • Organisation of the participation of Aviation NZ in the 2018 Singapore Airshow

    • Coordinate relationships with the venue and potential participants of the NZ aviation sector

    • Coordinate pricing and revenue model

    • Coordinate marketing activities with NZTE

  • Relationship Development

    • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with members

    • Use member relationships and knowledge to promote conference attendance


Your skills and experience include

  • Tertiary qualification in business/event management or related subject

  • Experience in organizing conferences or similar large-sized events

  • Good in-depth knowledge and work experience in the NZ aviation sector

  • Good working knowledge of government agencies (esp. NZTE) with a role in aviation

  • Networking across the industry with people of influence
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
