Poor Access via Wifi

I frequently need access to IFIS while on the move.  I use an iPad or iPhone for weather and flight plan activation.
On most occasions when I connect thru a wifi network your server times out. This seldom happens when connected thru 3G networks.  Clearly there is some handshake protocol issue occurring that needs sorting out.

I can't afford to have delays like this.  My job requires instant access if we are to provide a competent emergency service.

Ive heard in the past that your site has strict security systems in place that limit access.  Well so do all the other sites offshore and they can provide a solution in a fraction of the time it takes me to get data from IFIS.

Im also frustrated by the lack cooperation between Airways and Metservice to provide me with a practical service.  In recent years the service has deteriorated.  I understand that there is a 'user pays' mentality forcing a division that is adversely effecting aviation safety and i wonder at the real motivation behind this.

What can you offer as a practical solution?

Also there are several apps on the market these days that will incorporate data from the likes of your site, for example Airfield NZ. I've asked before if you will give developers offshore access to the site for development work so IFIS can be incorporated however I never got a response.

The thing I notice most is that many offshore aviation wx and information sites offer a one step simple solution to getting this data but here in NZ things are made more and more difficult for reasons that seem foolish.  As an example of offshore data made easy is http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/brief/locnbrf.asp were I can enter for example NZAA and will get an instant result of the current ATIS, TAF, METAR, RAIM availability, and NOTAMS.
This works for NZCH and NZWN also.

Frustrating part for me is that given I can get this service for free offshore and here in NZ I can't even pay for it!!!!
