About Us

The Aviation Industry Association of New Zealand represents the interests of the aviation community. The AIA has ten divisions spanning all aspects of aviation; including air transport, agricultural operations, flight training, air rescue and air ambulance services, engineering, helicopters, education and research, general aviation airports and supply and services. Membership is open to the national commercial aviation community that grows the economic wealth of the New Zealand economy.
 
Our goals are to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of our industry by:
  • Promoting superior safety performance within the industry
  • Ensuring appropriate rules and removing regulatory overlap/drag
  • Creating opportunities for the aviation industry to prosper and grow
  • Fostering the uptake of new technologies
  • Being the recognised voice of aviation in New Zealand
